Winter planning

I have been busy making plans for our next season camping adventuress.  I am also working on getting the new rig outfitted to fit our needs.

Before picking up the new truck camper I had anti-roll sway bars and heavy duty shock absorbers added to our truck.  At the camper dealer they added additional spring capacity to help carry the heavy load in the truck bed.  Now I'm working on increasing the load capacity of our tires.  Our current tires are 18" load range E with a weight capacity of 3500+/- lbs each.  I have ordered replacement wheels so I can go to 19.5" load range G tires with a capacity of 4500+/- lbs each.  This will be good insurance for future trips.  These wheels are special order and may not be available to me until late March which puts any plans for April in question.

Because of the unknown availability of these wheels I have not made any trip plans before May where I now have a route back to the Mississippi gulf coast in the books.  You can check our web-site for details.  One campground on this trip in a part of the Natchez Trace and without any water or electric hookups is a free campground.

Another trip planned is for June where we will visit with daughter Phyllis to celebrate her birthday.
Then the trip homeward will include a large portion of the Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway.

Since we visited the Northwest last year I am making plans for the Southwest this July.  The main points of interest in this trip will be the North Rim of the Grand Canyon in Arizona and Canyonlands National Park in Utah.

Working on a re-visit to the Acadia National Park in Maine for Sept. with the return trip back west through Ontario to Sault Ste Marie.
