Out of California

We are back in Arizona this evening and already appreciate the lower fuel prices. We filled up this afternoon at 3.859 so glad to be out of CA. Tomorrow we head to Gallup, NM and back to mountain time zone so we loose an hour on our drive. The biggest problem with traveling eastward is the morning sun in our eyes plus the hours lost in time zone changes.

I did get our photos uploaded for the Joshua Tree National Park because this connection is a little bit faster than we had the past few days.

Webshots, my photo hosting site is no longer available.

Joshua Tree National Park

Today we had a very nice trip through the Joshua Tree National Park. We have lots of pictures but with our current connection it is taking too long to get them uploaded. I am hopeful that our connection will be much better tomorrow night and will get them uploaded then.

We leave here in the morning and head to Kingman, AZ.

delivery

I checked the delivery tracking number with UPS and our missing part is on the truck for delivery today. Unfortunately it is now Friday and we are scheduled to start our trip homeward on Sunday. It is beginning to look like we will now haul our full tanks home and then get this all fixed before our next outing.

On the good news side, we have enjoyed this visit, except for the fuel prices. It's almost funny that we were happy to find a station with diesel at 4.399, it was 30 cents a gallon cheaper than the last fill up. The trip through the Anza-Borrego desert was very interesting. Check our albums on webshots.com for pictures. Jo is also enjoying the fresh-off-the-trees oranges that surround our trailer. She has almost cleared the low hanging fruit and about ready for a ladder.
